Geelong Club Meeting Monday September 26th 2016.
7.30 pm for an 8pm start. Upstairs, Barwon River Pavilion. under the James Harrison Bridge, near corner Barrabool Road & High Street, Belmont.
28 days to go!! Not that I am counting or anything, much! Yes the Geelong Bottle and Collectables Club will be concentrating on the 45th Australian National Bottle and Collectables Show and it needs to be an “All hands on deck” approach.
We will be calling on all members, friends and past members to help during the intensive three days of the show, the day before and after and any other ways in the lead up, especially with Marketing the event.
Look out for a detailed roster where you can volunteer an hour, a day, or more. To put on an orange vest to be part of the Security team or help man the door. Set up, pack up or whatever.
Bunnings BBQs and the Budget.
Our six BBQs have added approximately $4,500 to our account. This will enable Geelong Bottle and Collectables Club to run a better National show and stop us stressing on how to make the budget balance. We have been so good at the job we have 2 more dates, November 4th and December 14th, to top up those accounts after the show.
Our committee will look at our ongoing financial security in 2017. Thank you to Allan and Paul and all helpers for all this.

Uniforms/Merchandise.
The Club has paid for some artwork and now you can order your Geelong Bottle and Collectables Club Windcheater, Polo Top or Cap at Monday’s meeting or to Paul Bruce pbruce2@bigpond.com. 0427 338 098.
We need to order these now to get them before the show.
Show Duty Rosters.
Paul has drawn up some rosters for you to volunteer in a time slot for door duty, security, set up, pack up, even help on the Thursday before and Monday after. Put your name down at Monday’s meeting or contact Paul pbruce2@bigpond.com 0427 338 098
Marketing our National Show.
Roadside signs and posters in Collectables shops are going up. We need you to put more posters up in any local shops, share our Facebook page, tell all your friends. Do anything to get the word out there.
Pre and post show tours.
Show participants love seeing some collections before the National. Especially interstate visitors. If you are interested in inviting any collectors around to see your collection before or after the National talk with David. Visits can be arranged, by invite only.
October and November meetings.
October 24 will be a normal general meeting plus Champagne afterwards !
November 28 will be our annual BBQ at David and Hany’s.
